Alberto Montalvo, Jr, age 70, of Harlingen, Texas, passed away on February 10, 2015 in Harlingen, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents: Alberto and Margarita Montalvo and Rafael and Andrea Alvarez; and siblings: Jose Alvarez, Rafael Alvarez, Trinidad Alvarez, and Lela Stillman; He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Diana Montalvo; and siblings: Maria Green, Tony Alvarez, Gil Alvarez, and Florentino Alvarez; three adoptive children: Diane Villarreal, Laura Silguero, and John Villarreal; grandchildren: Roel Salinas, Mario A. Silguero III, and Robert Aguilera; honorary grandchildren: Matthew Rosales, John Abbot Villarreal, Victoria P. Villarreal, Johnathan Sal Vela, Steven, and Carlos Martinez; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. from 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae Garza Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harlingen, Texas. Interment will follow at Alvarez Cemetery.
