Valentin Rangel, Jr. 66, of San Benito, Texas, passed away in Harlingen, Texas on Thursday, January 15, 2015. Valentin was a Vietnam Veteran. He also was retired from Southwestern Bell. He loved being on his tractor and working on numerous construction projects. He will be greatly missed by all that respected him, looked up to him, and seeked his advice. He is preceded in death by his parents, Valentin and Juanita Rangel; and two sisters, Elisa Rangel Cavazos and Lile Rangel Ramirez. He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Rangel and Laurie Rangel Clement; one son, Valentin Rangel, III; three sisters: Maria Elena Zamora, Delia Rodriguez, and Velma Mercado; one brother, Ruben Rangel; numerous granddaughters, grandsons, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. up until the chapel service at 2:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
