Marcial Cardenas, 72, of Lozano, Texas, went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2014 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Ignacia Salazar; mother-in-law, Juanita Zuniga; and his father-in-law, Reynaldo Zuniga. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria E. Cardenas; daughters: Monica (Frank) Hernandez and Marisa Cardenas; five grandchildren: Francisco Marcial, Micah Ela, and Mayeli Hernandez, Ysla Rae, and Ysa Bela Loredo. Also surviving him are his siblings: Dora (Alfredo) Bermudez, Mario (Bertha) Cardenas, Nora (Felix) Garza, and Jose Luis (Gloria) Cardenas. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at St. Helen's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
