Guadalupe C. Torres, 87, of San Benito, Texas, peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family on October 19, 2014 in Harlingen, Texas. Guadalupe's family was the joy of her life. She was an avid bingo player who enjoyed cooking for others and making everybody feel special on their birthday. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benito Torres; and son, Benito Torres, Jr. She is survived by her children: Cecilio (Amanda) Torres, Mary Rubio, Carmen Gonzales, Leticia (Frank) Lopez, Connie Garcia, Norma Linda Torres, and Minerva Weaver; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on both nights, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
