Ventura C. Castillo, 81, of Port Isabel and Los Fresnos, Texas passed away on September 24, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He was preceded in death by his loving wife; Estella Gonzalez Castillo; Parents, Valente and Sofia Cordova Castillo; Brother, Gregorio Castillo; Sister, Adelita Castillo He was a Shrimper in the Shrimping Industry for many years and retired in 1995. Ventura is survived by his 3 brothers, Concepcion (Paulita) Castillo, Jesus Castillo, and Epifanio Castillo; 8 Sisters, Josefina Nieto, Panfila Carrizales, Dora Nieto, Paula Nieto, Polita Mata, Manuela De los Santos, Vence Castillo, and Catalina De Jesus; Several Nephews and Nieces. Visitation will be held from noon to 2:00 p.m. with Funeral Mass to beginning at 2:00 p.m. today, Friday, September 26, 2008, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel. Interment will follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery in Port Isabel. Pallbearers will be Joe Castillo, Concepcion Castillo, Gorgonio Castillo, Juan Rodriguez, Martin Garcia, and Lupita Sanchez.
