San Benito - Narciso (Chicho) Jaramillo went into our Lord's loving hands, September 21, 2008, surrounded by his family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas. He lived in San Benito for over 60 years with his family. He was a member of the 1930's Civil Conservation Corps program along Eddie Lucio Sr. as well as other men from the San Benito area .He was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Navy and retired as a City of San Benito employee of over 20 years. He was a devoted, loving husband and father who took great pride in the accomplishments of all his family. Our father lived a long and blessed life that enjoyed his family and friends by teaching his children and grandchildren through inspiring stories of their struggle and success. We will never forget his sense of humor, and his whistling tune announcing his arrival from a long hard day at work. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Santa Monica Jaramillo Garza. He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Concepcion (Hernandez), his sons and daughters: Cresencio (Jerry) Jaramillo, Anita (Isidro) Sanchez, Alicia (Juan-dec'd) Martinez, Esparanza (Alfredo) Gracia, Narciso (Maria) Jaramillo Jr., San Juanita (Jesus) Carrillo, Jilverto (Gloria) Jaramillo, Jose Angel (Lydia) Jaramillo, Eduardo (Estella) Jaramillo, and Miguel (Carmen) Jaramillo.
