Maria J. Rodriguez, 72, of Olmito, Texas, went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Concepcion Martinez; two sons: Ruben Rodriguez and Eli Rodriguez; one brother, Alberto Martinez; and grandson, Ricardo Ramos, Jr. She is survived by her companion, Nicolas Jimenez; children: Rodolfo (Norma) Rodriguez, Adelaido Rodriguez, Adan (Ana) Rodriguez, Jr, Benito Rodriguez, and Julia (Ricardo) Ramos; four grandchildren: Felicia Gurdunio, Sonny Ramos, Amanda Ramos, and Vania Rodriguez; two sisters, Oneilia Martinez and Pauline Martinez; and brother, Pedro Martinez, Jr. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
