Julia G. Atkinson, 93, of San Benito, TX, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Atkinson Sr., her parents Vicente and Rosa Gonzalez, one son, Ramiro Atkinson. Two sisters; Rosario Bustinza, Teodora Montalvo and one brother Ramiro Gonzalez. Mrs. Atkinson is survived by her; five children: Dominga (Sotero) Conde, Irma (Pedro) Munoz, Vicente (Maria) Atkinson, Juanita (Jesus) Vega, and Daniel Atkinson, Jr.; She is also survived by one brother Juan Gonzalez; stepbrother, Daniel Guzman; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, as well as other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Mass of resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
