Roberto Chavez, 41, of San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal peace on July 29, 2014. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dominga Delgado Chavez; maternal grandparents, Rita and Telefloro Delgado; and paternal grandmother, Maria Molina. Roberto is survived by his son, Robert Isaac Padilla Chavez; his father, Juan Y. Chavez; one brother, Juan (Anna Marie) Chavez, Jr.; two sisters: Sylvia Chavez and Nora (Milton) Chavez-Gallardo; six nephews; and five nieces; as well as several aunts, uncles, and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
