Maria Guadalupe Ortiz, 86, of Los Fresnos, Texas, entered into eternal rest on July 27, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Isabel Ortiz, Sr.; and son, Jose Isabel Ortiz, Jr. Surviving her is her son, Adan Ortiz (Anne) of Los Fresnos, Texas; grandchildren: Whitney Elaine Ortiz and William Wesley Ortiz; her sister, Ignacia Hinojosa; and other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Los Fresnos. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
