Obituary of Santiago Mendoza

Santiago V. Mendoza, 74, of Rio Hondo, Texas, entered into rest on July 11, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Faustina Vasquez and Ricardo Mendoza; and son, Juan Martin Mendoza. Surviving him is his wife, Maria Mendoza; his children: Faustino, Santiago Jr., Rosa Maria, Jose Cruz, Mauricio, Alfonzo, Maria Julia, Juan Manuel, Guadalupe, Ernesto, and Mariana; 51 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Ricardo Mendoza, Gregoria Melendez, Rogelio Mendoza, Maria Gonzalez, and Natividad Mendoza. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Rio Hondo, Texas. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
