Alma De Leon, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2014. She was born on September 15, 1950, in Laureles, Texas, and recently resided in Round Rock, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Alonzo De Leon, and her mother, Elvira Reyes De Leon. She is survived by her son, Alonzo Gomez (Lisette), grandchildren Siena Gomez, Adrian Gomez, Aaron Gomez, sister Dahlia De Leon, brothers Oscar De Leon (Elvia), Rene De Leon (Esther). She is also survived by four nieces, two nephews, seven great nieces, three great nephews, two great-great nieces, and four great-great nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 30, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Isaac Emeka Erondu officiating. Services will conclude after the mass, and in accordance to her wishes, cremation will follow.
