San Juana G. Rivera, 83, of San Benito, Texas, entered into rest on May 1, 2014 at Harlingen Medical Center. She was born on December 28, 1930 in Rio Hondo, Texas to Catalina Rodriguez and Alfonso Gaytan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Rivera; and son, Ignacio Salinas, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Juan (Margarita) Rivera, Felix (Rosie) Rivera, Jr., Joe (Norma) Rivera, Candelario (Mary Ann) Rivera, Ester Hernandez, Norma Gray, Isabel Rivera, Lupita (Lionel) Molina, Frances (David) Rivera, and Minerva Rivera; 43 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
