Obituary of Obdulia Garza

Obdulia "Lula" Garza, 70, of Port Isabel, Texas, entered into eternal peace on April 25, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Odulia Martinez; and her brother, Homer Martinez. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Roque Garza, Jr.; her children: Emma (Joe) Moncivaiz, Belinda Garza (Kenneth Herrera, son), Imelda (Cesar) Nuñez, and Roel (Dora) Garza; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Hector Martinez and Baldemar Martinez. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St., in Port Isabel. Services will conclude after the mass, and in accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow.
