Obit for Benito Alvarez Los Fresnos/Laureles, TX- Benito Alvarez, 66, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 at his residence in Los Fresnos/Laureles. He loved watching his favorite team play the Dallas Cowboys and fishing as well as attending church services in San Juan. He was a caring and respectful as well as loving person and will dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Micaela Alvarez; and one brother, Fabian Alvarez. He is survived by three brothers: Andres (Maria) Alvarez, Jr., Enrique (Margarita) Alvarez, and Johnny (Michelle) Alvarez; six sisters: Guadalupe (Jose) Cortez, Librada (Tommy) McLeister, Lina (Paul) Kitchens, Josefina (Juan) Trevino, Hermina Ramirez, Maria Elena (Alejandro) Atkinson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Visitation will be held Sunday at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm. Cremation will follow in accordance with his wishes. Graveside service and inurnment of his cremated remains will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, TX.
