Gilberto Gerardo Cepeda-De La Cruz, 28, entered into eternal life on March 30, 2014. Gilbert was born on December 16, 1985. He was a graduate of San Benito High School, Class of 2004 and employed with Cardone of Harlingen, Texas. Gilbert was very outgoing. He loved to hunt, fish, and to live life to the fullest. He will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Christopher Hernandez-Cepeda. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Maria T. Maldonado; his three children: Kristopher A. Cepeda, Kiara A. Cepeda, and Kaylee A. Cepeda; his parents: Jose Homero Cepeda and Juana Cepeda De La Cruz; and his siblings: Jose Homero Cepeda, Jr., Jessica A.(Israel Jose Juarez, Jr) Cepeda-Juarez, Carlos (Cristina) Cepeda, and Mark Anthony (Liliana Isabel Cepeda) Cepeda. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents: Fructoso (Teresa) De La Cruz and paternal grandparents: Artemio (Maria) Cepeda. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 5 pm to 9 pm and on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 11 am to 9 pm, with a holy rosary at 7 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at St. Ignacio Catholic Church in El Ranchito, Texas. Interment will follow at Esparza Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Arturo Cepeda, Ricky Trevino, Carlos Cepeda, Joe Cepeda, Mark A. Cepeda, Joey Cepeda, JR De La Cruz, and Roger De La Cruz. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Kristopher A.
