Obituary of Norma Davila

Norma Perez Davila, 65, of Brownsville, Texas, entered into eternal peace on February 20, 2014. Norma was an avid reader who loved to joke around. She was a lover of sports, a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, and a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Hinojosa Davila; mother, Leonor Perez; and sister, Bertha P. Martinez. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Daniel David (Tonya) Davila; two grandchildren: Taren Lanee Cook and Tylr McGehee; three sisters: Yolanda (Joe) Mack Brown, Rosalinda Perez, and Dulia Morales; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 from 12 noon to 9 pm, with a holy rosary at 7 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
