Maria Leonila Cortez, 73, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Harlingen Medical Center.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Daniel D. Cortez; her seven children, Alma Delia Gutierrez, Daniel Cortez, Jr., Arnulfo Cortez, Emilio Cortez, Dalia Ramos, Linda Maria Cortez, and Jose Cortez; 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
Chapel service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at La Paloma Cemetery.
