Los Fresnos, TX- Guadalupe R. Moncevaiz, 84, of Los Fresnos, Texas, went to be with Our Lord on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. She was born in Huntsville, Texas on August 11, 1929 to the late Jesus Ramirez Sr. and Maria Rico. She is also preceded in death by her sons, Jesus R. Cantu and Rodrigo R. Cantu, Sr.; a daughter, Manuela R. Moncevaiz; sister, Josefina Johnson; and two brothers, Rodrigo Ramirez and Jose Ramirez. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Juanita C. Sollozo, Maria G. Ramirez, and Pedro R. Cantu, Sr.; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; a sister, Maria Ramirez; and brothers, Jesus, Antonio, Guadalupe, Juan, and Javier Ramirez. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 from11:00 am to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos, TX. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park in Brownsville, TX.
