Clara Cavazos Gonzalez, 84, of Port Isabel, TX, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX. Clara was born in Falfurrias, Texas on August 12, 1926. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gustavo Gonzalez; parents, Narcisco and Josefina Cortez Cavazos; sisters, Anita Diaz Saucedo and Maria Elena Cavazos. She is survived by her loving children, Gustavo (Rosaena) Gonzalez, Benjamin Gonzalez, and Josefina Gonzalez; her loving grandsons, Gustavo (Lisa) Gonzalez III, Gil (Lisa) Gonzalez and Michael Gonzalez; two brothers, Benjamin Cortez Diaz and Baldemar Cavazos; and one sister, Maria Cavazos Marks. Visitation will be held Tuesday April 19, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel in San Benito. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday April 20, 2011 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery.
