Camilo T. Turrubiate, 72, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on August 17, 2013 at Valley Regional Medical Center. He was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel and worked for Callaway Seafood for 30 years before retiring in 1989. He was preceded in death by his parents: Juan Turrubiate and Nicolasa Trevino Turrubiate; one brother, Rodolfo Turrubiate; and one sister, Concepcion Turrubiate. Camilo is survived by his ten children: Juan Turrubiates, Jose Luis Turrubiates, Maria Elisa Turrubiates Arellano, Julia Delgado, Nicolasa Turrubiates, Camilo Turrubiate Jr., Julian Javier Turrubiate, Connie Grodecki, Martin Alberto Turrubiate, and David Turrubiate. Also surviving him are 22 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one sister, Sara Galvan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Martin A.
