Verdean Emery Johnson age 63 of Welch, MN died tragically in a motorcycle accident in Brownsville, TX on March 29, 2008. His wife Latisha was also involved in the accident and is recovering at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother LaVonne Johnson and father-in-law Al Hansen. Survived by wife Latisha, son Daniel (Robbin) Johnson Bremerton, WA, daughters Amy (Chris) Johnson and Pam (Rory) Small, of Hastings, grandchildren Oban(9), Jura(5), Clayton(10), Reilly(6), Mitchell(11), Abigail(9), Deanna(7), father Emery Johnson, brothers Keith Austin, Mark (Diane)Johnson Minnetonka, sisters Christine (Mike) Rochester, Diane (Donald) Olson, Carol (Bruce) Augustine Austin, Rhonda (Jerry) Rosenthal Fremont, NE and Rita (Tom)Rieffer Dickenson, TX, nieces and nephews, Mother-in-law Darlene Hansen, brother-in-law Harold (Diane) Hansen and many friends. Dean was a retired electrical engineer at Gillette in St. Paul. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, fishing, camping and reading. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Memorial service will be held in Welch, Minnesota. No local services will be held.
