Jose Roberto Parra, 58, of Harlingen, TX, passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2010 at his home in Harlingen. He preceded in death by his father, Cesar Parra, Sr. Robert was born on November 29, 1952. He worked in construction for his father for several years. He later moved to Houston to work for Naegeli Transportation Services. He is survived by his four daughters, Rosemary Ibarra, Diana Villarreal, Roxanne Sanchez, and Veronica Parra; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Rosa Sordia Parra; his brothers Alvaro, Cesar Jr, Raymond, and Israel Parra and several nieces and nephew. The family would like to express appreciation to his caregiver, Amada Borgen. Visitation will be held today on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Chapel Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Cremation will follow to Sacred Park Crematorium. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in memory of Jose R. Parra to the American Heart Association.
