Port Isabel, TX - Guadalupe G. Cano, 89, of Port Isabel passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Retama Manor Nursing Home in Harlingen, TX. Guadalupe was born in Brownsville, Texas and a life time resident of Port Isabel, TX. She was well known and loved by all those who knew her. She was very generous to anyone who needed help and was always willing to give a lending hand. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Cano; sisters, Elvira Galvan Garza and Monse Galvan; brothers, Lucas Galvan, Manuel Galvan, Santos Galvan, and Jesus Galvan; her parents, Ismael Galvan and Felicitas Narvaez. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Maria Felicitas Garza, Wilfredo Garza, Juanita Sibaja, and Mary V. Villa; 27 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 10am to 9pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 10am at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos, TX. Interment will follow to Heavenly Grace Memorial Park in La Feria, TX.
