Ray Roman Marchan, 56, of Port Isabel and Brownsville, Texas, passed away on February 28, 2013. Ray was born on December 18th, 1956 in Brownsville, Texas. He grew up in a loving home, filled with games and family time. He graduated from Rice University in 1978, and Graduated from Stanford University Law School in 1981. He had a highly successful law practice for many years and helped many families who had suffered loss. He was a dedicated father to his two children, Devon and Broughton.He was active in his community, spearheading projects like the De La Lastra memorial statue for Men Lost at Sea on South Padre Island. He participated in many charity events that benefited organizations such as the Moody Clinic, Down by the Border, St Luke's Catholic School and many more. He lived his life full and rich and eccentric, just the way he liked it. He loved much and laughed often. One of his biggest joys was cruising the seas on his boat and big game fishing. He will be missed by his family and friends .He is survived by his children: Devon-Raye and Broughton Michael; his spouse Tatiana; his mother, Mary; and three siblings.
