Salvador Vasquez, 60, of Port Isabel, Texas who passed away Monday, February 25, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Dominguez and Avelina Camacho Vasquez; He was employed with Union Pacific Railroad Company for past 22 years. He was in Vietnam War and was Honorable discharged from United States Army. He is survived by his children, Salvador R. Vasquez Jr., Lisa Uzzle, Sergio O. Vasquez, Gisela M. Vasquez, Ramsey G. Vasquez, and Cheryl G. Vasquez; 12 Grandchildren; six brothers, Johnny Vasquez, Manuel G. Vasquez, San Antonio Vasquez, Rosendo C. Vasquez, Patricio Vasquez and Sonny Vasquez; four sisters, Cecila Armanzan, Linda V. Smith, Maria V. Alvarado, and Natalia V. Aguillera; Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with recitation of the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3,2008 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Chapel Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito and Cremation will follow to Sacred Park Crematorium. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday March 5, 2008 at Rio Grande Veteran Cemetery, 2520 S. Inspiration Rd. in Mission, Texas with Full Military Honors to be conducted at the graveside.
