San Benito, TX - Paula A. Torres, 84, of San Benito passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2012 in Solera Hospital in Harlingen, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Agustin Armadillo and Maria Tavera Romero; a daughter, Minerva Torres Perez; and a son, Esteban Torres.
She is survived by her husband, Rufino Torres; six children: Vida (Juana) Torres, Marcelena Torres, Elvira (Gabriel) Vega, Agustin (Melissa) Torres, Adela (Juan Jose) Perez, and Rufino (Nancy) Torres Jr. She had 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 11am to 9pm with a holy rosary at 7pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Sarturday, January 5, 2012 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery.
