Obituary of Maria Guadalupe Garza

Maria Guadalupe Garza, 93, of San Benito, Texas entered eternal life on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Maria Guadalupe was a loving, beautiful, and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who always welcomed everyone and had a lot of energy. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her passion in life, along with her love of music, dancing, traveling, visiting her sister, and going to play bingo and loteria.

She is preceded in death by her father, Matilde Rendon; her mother, Estefana Herrera; her brothers Juan, Roberto, and Rodolfo; sisters, Maria Del Refugio, Rosa, Rebecca, Rafaela, and Adelaida.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Carmen (Javier); her sons, Jose Manuel (Maribell), Santos (Ofelia), and Arnulfo (Leticia); 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces, and numerous friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church with an interment will follow to Las Rucias Cemetery in Los Indios, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Jose Manuel Garza, Jr., Luis Garza, Arnulfo Alcocer, Jr., Kevin Alcocer, Israel Resendiz, Joshua Montez, Javier Ramos, Jr., and Karlos Ramos.
