Alberto “Beto” Vasquez, 52, of McAllen/Port Isabel, TX passed away on Tuesday August 20, 2024, at his residence in McAllen, TX. Alberto Vasquez was a strong kindhearted soul who cared for many. He always sought the good in the bad. Alberto was a 1990 graduate from Port Isabel High School and a 1994 graduate from Pan American University with a Degree in Education. Alberto dedicated his life teaching with Ben Bolt ISD and PSJA School District where he taught for 23 for years, He enjoyed guiding those who crossed his path. During his off time, he would find himself in Port Isabel, his home away from home. Every decision that was made by Alberto was driven by his faith in God. He was a friend to all and loved by countless individuals. When he loved, he loved whole heartily. Alberto is preceded in death by his father, Enrique Vasquez; mother, Oralia Cepeda; 2 brother, Enrique Jr. Vasquez and Jesus “Chuy” Vasquez. Left to cherish his memory are his 3 daughters, Brianna Vasquez, Gianna Vasquez, and Arianna Vasquez; siblings, Fernando (Dora) Vasquez, Liliana Alejandra (Hugo) Sanchez, Maricella Vasquez, and Noel (Adelina) Cepeda. In addition, he is survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 29, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday August 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St,, Port Isabel, TX 78578 with interment to follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.
