Amado Jaramillo, age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on February 6, 1932, in Rio Hondo, Texas to Agustin and Espiridiona Cano Jaramillo. He remained a lifelong resident of Rio Hondo and dedicated most of his life to farming and ranching. Amado was preceded in death by his father Agustin, his mother Espiridiona, his brothers: Jose and Miguel Jaramillo, his sisters, Agustina Guajardo, Santos Flores, Sista Duque, son-in-law Abel Alaniz, grandson Eloy Ortega and great-granddaughter Estella Jade Jaramillo. Amado is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Jaramillo, and children: Amanda Alaniz (Abel+), Judith Camerano, Norma Saldana (Benjamin), Sulema Olguin (Rosendo), Amado Jaramillo Jr (Bella), Celia Jaramillo, Dalia Dimerson (Racie), Roxanne Jaramillo, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Fidencio Jaramillo. Visitation will be held between 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Eulogy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, August 24 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Las Yescas Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Agustin Vasquez, Mike Jaramillo Jr, AJ Alaniz, John Anthony Jaramillo, Aaron Olivares, and Leroy Ortega.
