Betty Louise Chase, 71, of Laguna Vista, Texas, passed away on November 12, 2012 at her residence. Betty was a longtime resident of Amarillo, Texas and for the last 20 years, she resided in Port Isabel. She was born and raised in California and worked as a cake decorator in the family bakery business. She was a loving grandmother who lived her life for her grandchildren and loved baking pies. "She was the best grandma in the world." She was preceded in death by her son, Gary martin Hyde; spouse Sam Chase; mother Bennie Margaret Ingalls; father Charles Ingalls, sister Claudette Griffin; grandson Kevin Smith; and granddaughter Chelsea Welch. She is survived by her four daughters: Cindee Peterson of Olympia, Washington; Vivian Losure of Austin, Texas; Lola Millon of South Padre Island, Texas; and Jackie Paddock of Laguna Vista, Texas. She is also survived by her brothers Frank Stephens and Earl Ingalls; sister Helen Williams; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 110 Port Road, Port Isabel, Texas with Pastor Hyde officiating.
