Michael Gonzales was born on November 9, 1972, to the late Mario Enrique Gonzales and Mary I. Gonzales. On June 13, 2024, he peacefully entered his eternal rest at home surrounded by his loving family. After a lengthy illness Michael valiantly ran his race till the end. Michael was greeted into heaven by his father Mario E. Gonzales, brother Mario E. Gonzales Jr., maternal grandparents Felix & Maria Nunez paternal grandparents Marcos Gonzales & Enriqueta Gutierrez, aunts Hilda Gonzalez, Rosa Ruiz, Ofelia (Ofie) Reyna, and uncle, Harry Nunez. Michael is survived by his wife Evette Vasquez- Gonzales, sons, Michael Gonzales Jr., Lino Enrique Gonzales (April), Jose Jesus Gonzales, daughters Delina Marie Gonzales, Vanessa Leigh Santillan, Rose Marie Gonzales, Evelyn Renee Santillan, mother, Mary I. Gonzales brother Marcos Gonzales (Yvette) and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Michael’s pride and joy was his family and was best known for always making people laugh, whether in person or through Facebook. He enjoyed barbecuing, spending time with his grandchildren, and was also an avid fan of the Mighty San Benito Greyhounds, Michael will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank all our family and friends for the visits and prayers that were made for Michael. Michaels family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday June 16, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 pm. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held on Monday June 17, 2024, at 10am at Mont Meta San Benito, TX. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Marcos Gonzales, Marcos Jacob Gonzales, Lino Enrique Gonzales, Jose Jesus Gonzales "JJ", Javier Sandoval, Samuel Yfrayn Sandoval, Luis Rodriguez, Javier Sandoval Jr. Honorary Pallbearer: Michael Gonzales, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the Gonzales Family will be accepting monetary donations.
