Maria Anna Loera, 51, of Los Fresnos, TX, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Solara Hospital in Harlingen, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raul Loera Sr., and Dionicia Loera; a sister, Estella Loera; sister-in- law, Maria Del Jesus Loera; three brothers-in-law, David Butler, Enrique Delgado, and Richard Hill. Left to cherish her memory is loving husband of 29 years, David Leon Zurita: 1 son, David Leon (Cruz) Zurita; 1 daughter, Nicole Marie (Marcel) Loera; 1 stepson, Zachary David Zurita; 1 stepdaughter, Ashley Ann Zurita; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Blanca Butler (David+), Maria Beatriz Delgado (Enrique +), Peter (Letty) H. Loera, Maria Teresa L. Hill (Richard +), Esmeralda L. (Mauricio) Castillo, Frances L. (Richard) Bella, Raul (Maria Magdalena) Loera Jr., Cruz A. Loera, and Gilbert Loera. In addition, she is survived by several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 11:00 p.m., at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St, Port Isabel, TX, with interment to follow to Las Yescas Cemetery.
