Leopoldo Hernandez, 99, of San Benito, TX passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. He is preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Hernandez, son, Jose Angel Hernandez, 1 great-great granddaughter and several brothers and sisters. Leopoldo is survived by his 6 daughters, Maria de Jesus Hernandez, Celia Garcia (Reynaldo +), Margarita Peña (Abelardo +), Maria Angelica Hernandez, Angelita Ortiz (Rolando) and Yolanda Hernandez (Jaime). In addition, he is survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Templo El Salvador, 1605 S Sam Houston Blvd St, San Benito, TX with interment to follow to Gomez Cemetery.
