Our Lord called Aroldo David Aguilar, Jr. 55, to eternal glory on Thursday, January 25, 2024. David was the first born of Aroldo David and Tencha R. Aguilar, on May 18,1968, in San Benito Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Irene Aguilar, and Manuel and Maria Rodriguez, and his cousin Norma Alicia G. Cruz. He is survived by his parents, Aroldo David, and Tencha R. Aguilar; brother, Jorge Eduardo Aguilar, daughters; Victoria Alexandria Aguilar, Leilani Monique Aguilar, grandchildren: Kalea and Kyler Gonzales, Gilbert, Jr. and Gianna Gee Lopez; nephew, Jorge Eduardo Aguilar Jr.; maternal aunt, Olga R. Garcia and several loving cousins and extended family and friends who will forever keep him close to their hearts. Diamond Dave, as he was affectionally called, grew up spending time on his family ranch in Los Indios, TX. He enjoyed riding horses, motorcycles, and his favorite orange Corvette. He was a proud 1986 graduate of San Benito High School. He obtained his CDL in 2018 and pursued his Hot Shot Trucking business. David lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends, and community, always helping everyone around him. He led with love and will continue to be the backbone of our family in spirit. He was an awesome father, grandfather, and was the best role model of love, strength, compassion, courage, and grace. Psalm 23: 1-3 The Lord is my is my shepherd. I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Combes St., San Benito, TX with interment to follow to Aguilar Family Cemetery, Los Indios TX.
