Maria N. Rodriguez 83, of San Benito, TX went to be with our Lord on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Valley Baptist Medical Center Hospital. Maria Rodriguez was born on April 19,1940 in San Benito, TX to the late Julian Niño, Sr. and Domitila C. Nino. She was a loving, caring person who was passionate about singing and was a devoted Christian and was a loving mother to many including nephews and nieces and was an active member of Inglesia Bautista La Palma En Cristo. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Julian Sr., and Domitila C. Nino; and a sister, Nazaria Gonzalez; and brothers, Julian Niño Jr, Guadalupe Niño, and Jose Niño Maria is survived by her husband, Carlos A. Rodriguez, her daughter, Beatriz A. Rodriguez, her grandchildren, Jose Carlos Parra, José Ángel Parra, Jessica Marie Parra, Fabián Torres and Arnulfo Torres, siblings, Catalina (Carlos) Salazar, Valentine (Belma) Niño, and Yolanda (Late Floretino) Niño. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A 10:00 a.m. funeral service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at La Palma Baptist Church, 184 Maria St, with a burial to follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas. Pallbearers are Jose Carlos Parra, José Ángel Parra, Timothy Lozoya, Conner Alvarado, Daniel Niño, Danny Salazar, Valentine Niño Jr, and Andres Nava.
