Please share a memory of Guillermo to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Guillermo T. “Mito” Mora, 75, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Guillermo was a lifetime resident of Laguna Heights, TX. He was born in Port Isabel Texas and was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel, TX. He was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, friend, and son of the Lord. He dedicated his life to his family and being a good man of God. He would say his prayers every morning, before every meal, and he attended church every Sunday. He always kept himself busy with tasks around the house, loved doing yard work, and was always helping neighbor and friend. He would literally give the shirt from his back to be helpful. He loved meeting new people, often making conversations and friends anywhere he went. He enjoyed going to Whataburger in the mornings to have coffee with friends and looked forward to Whataburger Wednesdays with his family. His favorite pastime was any time spent with his children, grandchildren, his siblings, and their children, and all his other relatives. His other favorite activities were fishing, traveling, and watching the Astros, classic cowboy shows and the history channel. He provided for his family by becoming an expert fishing net maker and an industrial electrician. He will be greatly missed, but we know he is with his family and loved ones that went before him; and will be waiting for us until we meet again. May he rest in peace. He is preceded in death by his father, Juan Jose Mora, and his mother, Juanita T. Mora; brothers, Jose Angel Mora, Daniel Torres, Juan Jose Mora, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Rosario V. Mora. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lupita Mora; son, Guillermo (Beatriz) Mora Jr.; 2 daughters, Lou Ann (Scott) Boston and Clarissa (Jose) Buitureira; 6 granchildren, Nicholas Mora (Kalie), Matthew Mora, David Mora, Luke Mora, Juliette Mora, and Evan Boston; siblings, Isabel (Jesus) Quezada, Rolando (Rosa) Mora, Norma (Librado) Benavides, Eddie (Terry) Mora, Jorge Luis (Sylvia) Mora, Robert Mora and sister-in-law, Mary (+Jose Angel) Mora.
