Francisco Z. Montes August 22,1950- September 24,2023 Harlingen, Texas- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father Francisco Z. (Pancho) Montes, 73. Our father went to his eternal resting place surrounded by loved ones. He was a loving father, brother, and friend. He always put family before himself. Looked forward to any chance to connect with his grandchildren and spending time with family. He enjoyed watching western movies, reading, fishing, and listening to music. With a kind heart, and above all, an endearing sense of humor, Francisco made everyone around him grin and laugh even in his final hours. Francisco is survived by his former wife. (5) children, Francisco (Cyndi) Medina, Jessica (Jesus) Valdez, Francisco (Melissa) Montez Jr., Xavier M. Montez, Orlando (Celina) Montez (7) Surviving siblings: Ruben (Lydia) Montez, Mario (Raquel) Montez, Jeorge Montez, Raquel (Pablo) Rojas, Juann Montez, Anna Pena, Adelaida Vargas, Gloria Ortiz, (20) grandchildren, (1) grandson proceeded in death and (20) great grandchildren. His family and many close friends will cherish his memory forever. He was a humorous individual who had an impact on many people's lives. A Public memorial service will be held on Wednesday 27th, at 4pm at Thomae Garza Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary at 7pm. Services will be held Thursday 28th at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 1pm followed by burial Monte Meta Cemetery.
