Maria Delgado De Vasquez, 71, of Lozano, TX passed away on Sunday July 16, 2023. Maria was a great mother and role model to her kids, grandkids, family, and friends. She enjoyed immersing herself in the outdoors amongst plants and nature. She did what she could for her kids and family. She was the foundation of the family and will always be the inspiration for us to do and be better people. She was a warrior through her fight, but God needed an angel and selected our mother to help him in Heaven. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Pedro Vasquez Jr./ wife- Imelda Vasquez, Antonio Vasquez/ wife- Paula Vasquez, Maria D. Vasquez/ wife- Esmeralda Gonzales; siblings, Leonor Delgado Castillo, Hortencia Delgado Castillo, Jesus del Angel Delgado Castillo; grandchildren, Phoebe Vasquez, Cosme Vasquez, Abby Vasquez, Antonio Vasquez Jr., Andy Vasquez, Matthew Vasquez, Nathan Vasquez, Zion Vasquez, Derrick Torres, great-grandchildren, Evalina Azul Rivas, Enrique Agustine Rivas, Lucian Mar Perez, and Mason Vasquez. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. Visitation will resume Friday, July 21, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Helen’s with interment to follow to Rio Hondo City Cemetery.
