Jesus T. Espinoza of Los Fresnos Texas gained his wings peacefully June 29, 2023, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. He is preceded in death by his mother Dolores Galindo Espinoza and sister Eva Arredondo. Jesus was born August 9, 1942, in Tampico, Mexico. In his early adult years, he was a welder and a boxer in Mexico. At the age of 24 in 1967, he met his future wife Olivia Cruz of Laureles TX. The two were each other's lifelong companions. They were blessed with 4 children: Maria, Olivia, Jesse, and Gilbert. Jesus worked in landscaping and enjoyed supporting politicians in upcoming elections. His favorite hobbies included fishing and BBQing with his family. Jesus is survived by his wife of 56 years, Olivia C. Espinoza; his children, Maria D. Espinoza Snavely (Ted), Olivia Espinoza Cavazos (Henry), Jesse Espinoza (Amanda), Gilbert Espinoza (Brenda); his 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and his brother Ignacio Pedraza. He will always be loved, forever missed, and will never be forgotten. Jesus will especially be remembered for the love he had for his family and all for the love, faith, and devotion he had for Jesus Christ. He was truly a man of God. Visitation will be held Saturday July 1, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX and will resume on Sunday July 2, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Prayer Service at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be held Monday July 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow at Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos TX. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Snavely, Ryan Cavazos, Sabrina Saldivar, Heron Rodriguez, Ted Snavely, Gilbert Espinoza, Derek Espinoza, Jesse Espinoza, Ashton Espinoza, and Tristin Espinoza.
