Francisco Castillo Galvan, 82, of San Benito, TX passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loved ones. Frank, also known as Pancho, absolutely loved hosting family and friends, and celebrating special occasions with loved ones. Relatively shy to start, he’d eventually end up on the dance floor or laughing at jokes once he’d warmed up. Frank always extended a helping hand and could never say ‘no’ to someone in need. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lino, and Maria Galvan; siblings, Anacleto Galvan, Moises Galvan, Sheila Plata, Gomecinda Strawhorn, Carlos Galvan. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Elyssa Gonzalez, and Lori Jaime; grandchildren, Analisa, Jared, Gisele, Emma, and Sofia; great grandchildren, Natalie, Adrienne, and Olivia. He is also survived by his siblings, Juanita Guerra, Gilberto Galvan, Calistro Galvan, Isaac Galvan, and Vicenta Dozer, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of The Universe Catholic Church, 121 Garrison Dr, San Benito, TX with Military Honors conducted by The American Vietnam Veterans Chapter 1 of Brownsville, TX to follow. Cremation will follow thereafter in accordance with his wishes.
