Martin Castilleja, 55, of Galveston, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023. Martin worked as a Surgical Technician at UTMB at Galveston, TX for 27 years. He was a dedicated worker and loved his job. Martin was a good son, brother, uncle, and friend always willing to help. He was a survivor of childhood cancer, and he accomplished his goals. We love you Brother; you will be missed. He is proceeded in death by his mother Juana C. Castilleja and brother Pedro Castilleja. Left to cherish his memory is his father, Pedro Castilleja. Siblings; Ana Castilleja, Juan (Griselda) Castilleja, Víctor (Erika) Castilleja, Laura Castilleja, and Veronica (Juan) Hinojosa. His nephews; J.P. and Vicente Castilleja, Juaquin and Oziel Hinojosa. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas with a continued visitation the same day at 6:00 p.m. St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos, Texas with a holy rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held after the rosary and services will be concluded.
