Michelle Pena Reyes, 54, of San Benito, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Michelle was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and aunt. She is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Pena Sr., and stepmother Elva Pena. Michelle is survived by her husband David Reyes; mother Myra Padron Pena; sisters, Monica, Melissa, Melanie, Maria Margarita; and brother, Manuel Jr. She was a devoted aunt and honorary mother to her many nieces and nephews. Michelle grew up in San Benito, TX and was the ultimate Greyhound fan. She always bragged about bleeding purple and gold. Later in life, Michelle obtained two associate degrees from TSTC-Harlingen in BMT Business Management and MIS Med Transcription. Michelle was a devout catholic who spent her time teaching CCD classes. She loved teaching others about the importance of faith. Michelle was loving, strong and courageous, she will be dearly missed. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th, from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 8th at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 351 S Bowie St., San Benito, TX followed by burial at Mont Meta Memorial Park. The pallbearers are Rene Cantu Jr., Noah Carrizales Jose Sifuentes, Brandon Salinas, Manuel Pena Jr., and Wally Reyes.
