Sandra Kay Tarpey, 70, of Port Isabel, TX went to be with God on Friday, December 30, 2022. She will be greatly missed. Sandy loved God, her family, her friends, helping others and serving the community, She was a retired nurse, but still helped anyone that was injured or ill with her skills. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Kurtz; father, Conrad Henze; sisters, Connie Brackenridge and Debbie Rosauer. Her memory lives on with her children; son, Richard D. Tarpey and his wife, Stephanie Tarpey; son, Michael W. Tarpey and his wife, Crista Igo; grandchildren, Richard R. Tarpey and Ray C. Tarpey. She loved paddle boarding and spent much of her time at the beach. She enjoyed being part of the surfing community and loved being part of the Island Native family. She also enjoyed serving on the Parks & Keep SPI Beautiful Committee. A Memorial Paddle Out is being planned to celebrate Sandra’s life.
