Obituary of Maria A. Korzenik

Please share a memory of Maria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Sunday, November 13, 2022, Maria de Los Angeles (Angelita) Korzenik, of Rancho Viejo, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ surrounded by her loving family. She fought a good fight and was counted worthy. She was a wonderful, cheerful, loving, kind, giving, servant of God on this Earth. She never hesitated to help others in need and provided advice and humor to all she met. She loved to pray for others, read her Bible, attended Bible Studies, serve others, attend church, cook, and watch her “novellas”. She loved her children and grandchildren and spent quality time with them. Everyone she met loved her dearly. She always had a kind word, smile and she encouraged others as she shared her faith in God every time she could. She was a prayer warrior (guerrera). Left to cherish her memory and emulate her values and strength include Laya, Masaharu, Alfredo, Sandra, Myriam and Mike, grandchildren, Sara Arden, Joshua, Jenny, Cherish, Ernest, Joseph, and Matthew and 3 living sisters, Graciela, Yolanda, Gloria and numerous nephews and nieces in Mexico and California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Maria de Los Angeles, and husband Alfredo Korzenik. She lived a full life in gratitude, love, and faith. Her last words were, “El Amor es lo maximo, The Greatest of these is love.” We want to thank the medical team at MD Anderson, especially Nurse Annette, Dr. Ali, Dr. Shenkenberg Harlingen Oncologist, and the medical staff at Valley Baptist Harlingen especially Nurse Rudy, and Gentiva Hospice, especially Nurse Lupita and Nurse Walter who showed compassion and love to our warrior mother.
