Alejandro Vasquez Ortiz, 56, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022. Alex was married to his loving wife Socorro for 38 years. They had two handsome sons together. He was a truck driver for 27 years. Alex loved to play jokes on people as well as making them laugh. He had a huge heart and helped his family and friends when they were in need. Alex loved riding his motorcycle, fishing on his boat but most of all he loved cooking out for his family and friends. He is preceded in death father, Gulmaro Ortiz; mother, Elida Ortiz; and brother, Gumaro Ortiz. He is Survived by his wife, Socorro H. Ortiz; son, Joshua Alexander Ortiz; daughter-in- law, Yvette M. Ortiz; son, John Jacob Ortiz; and daughter-in-law, Susana Azua-Ortiz; brothers and sisters, Juan Ortiz, Artemio Ortiz, Dora Ortiz-Escribano, Alma Ortiz and Andrea Carrizales; grandchildren, Juan Gulmaro Ortiz, Jaiden Ash Ortiz, Judith Alexis Ortiz, Miley Jade Ortiz, June Lily Ortiz, Emily Grace Ortiz and Jaymason Alejandro Ortiz. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 and Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Prayer Services to be held at 7 pm. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with cremation to follow in accordance with his wishes.
