Felicitas Tapia Rosalez, 89, of San Benito, TX passed away at home on October 22, 2022, after a short illness. Her family and friends were by her side when she drifted off to be with the Lord. Felicitas was born to late Alfredo and Romana Tapia of San Benito Texas on January 7, 1933. She was a longtime native of El Ranchito, TX where she lived surrounded by her sons and daughters. Felicitas worked in the fields at a young age, Levis Strauss for 13 years, a foster parent for 14 years, and a provider. She was a beautiful loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Felicitas loved all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to call her "Mami" instead of "wela". She was the heart of the family who always wanted her family to be at peace. Mami loved singing, dancing, watching novelas, playing chalupa, playing the maquinitas, and praying every night. She loved getting dressed to impress (even if only going to H-E-B) with her hair and makeup always well done, perfume, wearing her fancy bling dresses especially the dresses of her favorite color purple, with her matching shoes and jewelry. Mami was an amazing cook and always had food for her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren looked forward to her food every time after school, especially her beans and tortillas. Lastly, she loved telling stories about her past loves, she always seemed to amaze us all with her stories. She is preceded in death by her father, Alfredo Tapia; mother, Romana Tapia; her guardian, Elvira Cortez; son, Arturo Rosalez; and daughter Maria San Juanita Rodriguez. Left to cherish her memories is her children, Arturo+ (Maria Elena) Rosalez, Juan Jose (Rosa Maria) Rosalez, Norma Linda Rodriguez (Robert Ramirez), Jesus (Norma Leticia) Tapia Rodriguez, Maria San Juanita Rodriguez+, Iracema Magana, Hugo Rosalez, Maria San Juanita (Joe Diaz) Rosalez, and Alberto (Daisy) Garcia; 4 brother; 2 sisters; 26 grandchildren; and 63 great-grandchildren.
