Maria Yolanda Garza, 74, of Port Isabel, TX passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Harlingen Medical Center. “Yole” as we affectionately called her, was born on October 22, 1947 in Port Isabel, TX. Yole was a teacher for 36 years in Port Isabel, Raymondville, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and in Los Fresnos. She was a life-long member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She loved to go to casinos and play card games. She is preceded in death by her parents, Maxie and Marcos Garza. She is survived by many relatives and friends. Yole will be cremated in accordance with her wishes. A Memorial Mass will be offered on September 9,2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S Longoria St, Port Isabel, TX. with burial of ashes to follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.
