Jose Luis Leon Miranda, 28, of San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal rest on September 14, 2012 at his residence. Jose Luis was born May 2, 1984 in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. For the past 21 years, he resided in San Benito and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. He was a 2002 graduate of San Benito High School, loved to run, and enjoyed spending time at the gym. He was an avid fan of boxing and a self proclaimed chef who loved to barbeque. He loved animals, fishing, gardening, dancing, singing, and always enjoyed making others laugh. Jose Luis greatly enjoyed spending time with his loved ones the most. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Luis Leon. Surviving him is his fiance, Elda Margarita Espinoza Leon; his parents, Jesus and Yolanda Valencia; siblings: Flor (Noe) De La Rosa, Alejandro Valencia, Jesus Elyan Valencia, Zorina Leon Medina, and Jose Luis Leon Medina; niece Noeloni De La Rosa; nephew Noe De La Rosa Jr.; and paternal grandmother, Josefina Leon. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Cremation will follow services.
