Rosie C. Salazar, 77, of San Benito, TX passed from this life into eternal life on Sunday July 3, 2022. She was born on July 27, 1944, in Cuero, TX to Guadalupe and Victoria (Sustaita) Camareno. She was raised in Corpus Christi, TX. She married Jose Salazar in July 1970 who preceded her in death. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother and friend. She was always thinking of others first. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. In addition to her husband, Rosie is preceded in death by her siblings, Elisa Mendez, Ben Camareno, Gloria Ruiz, Rudy Camareno Sr., and Robert Camareno, Sr. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sadie Huerta (Rolando), Elsa Salazar (Joel), Danny Salazar (Maria), David Salazar, Christina Salazar; sister, Eva Gonzalez; 19 grandchildren, Elizabeth Huerta, JoAnn Gonzalez, Julianne Huerta, Erianna Huerta, Dylan Huerta, Daysie Huerta, Andrew, Gonzalez, Monica Perez, Joel Perez Jr., Victoria Perez, Daniel Salazar Jr., Javier Salazar, Azalea Salazar, Samantha Salazar, Elazira Salazar, Dalilah Salazar, David Salazar Jr., Cain Salazar, Micaela Pineda; and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Combes St, San Benito, TX with interment to follow to San Benito Memorial Park.
